What You Can Expect
The Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) is integral to the daily management of any successful sales region.
The role is responsible for working alongside the Sales Representatives and Regional Sales Manager to service hospitals and provide technical support to all the stakeholders within our customer base.
To ensure that the whole experience of using Zimmer Biomet products and services to the complete surgical team is free flowing and without difficulties or problems securing high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.
Additionally, the CSS will deliver bespoke training to ensure Surgeons and Scrub Staff are competent to operate safely and efficiently with Zimmer Biomet products attending surgery as necessary to provide real-time support to cases.
How You'll Create Impact
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Giving Technical Advice in the OR on Zimmer Biomet products
• To provide all the necessary training in the use of Zimmer Biomet products
• Sales lead generation with Platinum & Silver customers.
• Manage logistics around procedure planning and consignment stock.
• Provides onsite support for product demonstrations and educational initiatives.
• Follow all internal communication and documentation policies (QA).
• To adhere to divisional sales strategies under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager.
• To devote adequate time to acquiring the necessary knowledge of Zimmer Biomet and competitive products required for him/her to be effective.
• Responsible to keep SalesForce.com up to date for accounts.
• To undertake other duties such as attendance at sales meetings, exhibitions, staff training etc. when required by the Regional Sales Manager
• To provide on a monthly basis a report to the Regional Sales Manager, outlining performance, activities and competitive situation
Detailed Responsibilities:
Clinical Support
- Provide in-theatre support during surgical procedures when required.
• Deliver product-related clinical expertise to surgeons, nurses, and hospital staff.
• Ensure proper utilization of products and surgical techniques according to company standards and best practices.
• Support the introduction and implementation of new technologies and solutions within customer accounts.
Training & Education
- Conduct product presentations and educational sessions for surgeons, nurses, operating room staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Organize and deliver workshops, clinical training programs, and in-service education activities.
• Support customer onboarding and product adoption initiatives.
• Maintain a high level of technical and clinical knowledge across the product portfolio.
Sales Support
- Partner closely with Sales Representatives to support account development and customer engagement.
• Accompany Sales Representatives on customer visits and business reviews.
• Assist in identifying growth opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
• Contribute to achieving regional sales targets through effective clinical support and customer relationship management.
Account Management Support
- Build strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted clinical advisor within assigned accounts.
• Support account planning and execution alongside the commercial team.
• Provide customer feedback and market insights to support business strategy.
Territory Coverage
- Manage clinical activities across Galicia and Asturias.
• Travel extensively throughout the territory to support hospitals, customers, and educational events.
• Participate in local, regional, and national congresses, workshops, and training events as required.

Your Background
Education/Experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Strong networking capabilities and sound business acumen to identify, plan, and execute on services
• Strong knowledge in Orthopedics, with specific knowledge of competitor’s products and strategies
• Significant level of clinical expertise
• Strong presentations skills, customer centric, relationship and communication skills
• Entrepreneurial, target orientation and organizational skills
• Analysis capability, problem solving
• Team spirit, willing to learn
