Position Overview
- The Warehouse Associate for Manhattan Laminates will be primarily responsible for processing inbound/outbound transactions in a timely and accurate manner, applying inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and servicing/supporting clients and departments.
- Looking for outside Sales Representative to grow our customer base and develop strong, long-term relationships throughout an assigned territory. Based in Long Island City, NY, this full-time role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys working in the field, building relationships, winning new business, and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.
- Operate a boom crane to help load/unload trucks for customer deliveries and around the warehouse.
- Building-material delivery driver. You'd drive a box truck or flatbed and deliver lumber, plywood, doors, hardware and other construction materials to customers/jobsites around NYC and sometimes Tri-State Area.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Associate
- Pick & package orders of plywood for shipment using sit-down forklift.
- Assist in customer pick-ups by locating orders via handheld scan gun, pulling correct items, and assisting the client load their vehicles.
- Assist in unloading and loading trucks.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness (i.e. moving skids off the floor, keeping entrance to exits/entrances clear, discarding empty packaging, etc.)
- Maintain safe work environment by reporting hazards to management
Outside Sales Rep
- Prospect and develop new business through customer visits, cold calling, lead follow-up, and appointment setting.
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with existing customers.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Analyze customer buying patterns to uncover new sales and account growth opportunities.
- Provide knowledgeable, responsive customer service throughout the sales process.
- Follow up with prospects and customers to drive sales and strengthen long-term relationships.
CDL Boom Driver
- Unload and load trucks daily.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse team to confirm all products to be delivered are loaded onto the truck.
- Loads and/or unloaded materials that require the operation of a crane/boom by rigging, planning and hoisting a variety of heavy construction materials onto delivery trucks.
- Calculates the boom/crane capacities and weights and checks clearances so that buildings, hydro wires and foundation of the machine will not be damaged during operation.
- Calculates weight of materials to ensure it is not over weight limits of the truck and/or DOT regulations.
- Inspects and maintains crane/boom equipment in order to ensure safety and prevent damage to equipment and surrounding structures.
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and follow traffic laws and any relevant safety protocols when operating the truck.
- Provide exceptional Customer Service while making deliveries, which includes meeting expected time frames, ensuring the quality and accuracy of the product upon delivery, maintaining a positive attitude and following any special instructions.
- Obtain necessary Proof of Delivery photographs and signatures from customers to confirm delivery of product.
- Research and understand the most efficient routes throughout NY to ensure deliveries are being made in a timely manner.
- Pick up items for Customer returns.
- Keep truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order.
- Inspect vehicles for any issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Non-CDL Driver
- Able to unload and load trucks daily. Required to lift & move at least 50 lbs. Work with the warehouse team to confirm all products needed to be delivered are loaded to the truck.
- Always maintain compliance with all DOT rules and regulations. Follow traffic laws and any relevant safety protocols when operating the truck.
- Provide exceptional customer service while making deliveries which includes meeting expected time frames, ensuring the quality and accuracy of the product upon delivery, maintaining a positive attitude and following any special instructions.
- Obtain necessary Proof of Delivery photographs and attach to Eclipse via mobile app. Signature from customer must also be present to confirm delivery of product.
- Report any issues or canceled deliveries to Customer Service or the Operations Manager.
- Keep truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
- Inspect vehicles for any issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Requirements
Warehouse Associate
- Sit-down forklift: 1 year (Required)
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- RF scan gun experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Outside sales rep
- Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
- Building Materials: 2 years (Preferred)
- College Degree (Preferred)
CDL Boom Driver
- Required to lift & move at least 50 lbs.
- Maintain positive, upbeat attitude. Always be willing to assist and answer questions from clients.
- Keen attention to detail & effective communication skills.
- Produce work with a high degree of accuracy and focus.
- Customer service focused.
- Possess problem-solving skills and readiness to research solutions.
Non-CDL Driver
- Valid Driver license with clean record – CDL license preferred but not required.
- Maintain positive, upbeat attitude. Always be willing to assist and answer questions from clients.
- Keen attention to detail & effective communication skills.
- Produce work with a high degree of accuracy and focus while multi-tasking.
- Customer service focused
- DOT medical card or ability to get one prior to starting employment
Pay Range
