Position Overview
The Concessions Associate (Cashier) is responsible for providing a high-quality guest experience by taking and processing food, beverage, and merchandise orders in a fast-paced entertainment environment. This role supports event operations across MSG venues by ensuring efficient service, accurate transactions, and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Take food, beverage, and merchandise orders from guests in a timely and friendly manner
- Process cash and cashless transactions accurately using POS systems
- Assist guests with menu selections and product recommendations
- Deliver food and beverages, including in-seat service when required
- Support opening and closing duties for concession stands and bars
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work and service areas
- Restock supplies and notify supervisors of inventory needs
- Follow NYC Board of Health regulations and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors during events
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Previous experience in food service, retail, hospitality, or cashier roles preferred
- Comfortable using POS systems and handling transactions
- Must be able to stand for long periods during entire shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working in an event-based, high-energy environment
