Wood is currently recruiting for a QA/QC Inspector - Painting & Insulation to support our growing operations in Singapore.

The Role
The QA/QC Inspector - Painting & Insulation will inspect product/material and associated documentation to confirm compliance to Wood, Client or industry specifications/codes and relevant purchase order requirements. This includes at supplies sites, fabrication yards, Wood and client worksites and/or receipt at warehouse locations.

Responsibilities
- alidate inspection requirements and carry out inspection activities at worksites, suppliers, fabricators, and/or on receipt at warehouse as instructed by the project Quality team.
- Inspection of materials and review of material certification prior to delivery to fabricators/manufacturers where required.
- Witness / review of testing activities in compliance with Inspection and test plan requirements.
- Carry out Offsite Yard inspection and produce assessment report on capability/suitability for project.
- Review on installation/application methodology (Method Statement / Procedure etc).
- Review and make suitable site repair methodology.
- Ensuring calibrations used are valid.
- Verification that appropriate approvals are in place prior to commencement of specific works (e.g. weld procedures are approved, welder certification, etc.)
- Review and endorsement of quality records raised as an output from fabrication/manufacturing and installation processes.
- Generation of inspection and progress reports as required.
- Attend factory acceptance tests.
- Final inspection release and issue of inspection release notes.
- Report any inspection deficiencies and queries to project quality team.
- Provide support to as-building processes and handover for completions.
- Assist in auditing of material vendors, fabricators, NDT providers, and manufacturers.
- Manage the project System Completion Turnover process.
Qualifications
- Painting inspection certification (Painting inspectors only) - Essential
- Inspection certificate in relevant discipline from recognized industry or national body (essential)
- Radiographic interpretation certificate (Piping welding inspectors only)
- Quality auditor qualification by recognized industry body
- Relevant Singapore Ministry of Manpower Workplace Safety and Health trainings
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- 5+ years relevant experience (Preferably in the associated industry)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
