Production Supervisor (PIC)

Wood is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor working a 21/21 offshore rotation to support a Romanian based project for a minimum of 6 months. 

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a major gas infrastructure project, supporting the safe and efficient operation of metering and production facilities during day and night shift operations.

Duration: Minimum 6 months 

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading the safe and efficient startup and production operations an offshore gas production facility in the Black Sea, Romania. Key responsibilities include overseeing well clean-up activities, back gassing of the gas export pipeline, hydrocarbon export to onshore facilities, and the overall management of the Control of Work (CoW) process during night shift operations. The role will also supervise ongoing well clean-up activities and ensures alignment with startup objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support offshore start-up and commissioning activities to ensure a safe and efficient transition into production
• Support export pipeline commissioning and hydrocarbon transfer to onshore facilities
• Provide technical and operational support during commissioning, start-up, and early production phases
• Manage back gassing of the GPP export pipeline and ensure safe, efficient production operations
• Lead the Control of Work (CoW) process and supervise Halliburton well clean-up activities during night shift
• Coordinate with the Start-up Team and NGMS to ensure operating parameters remain within specification
• Deliver accurate shift handovers and daily operational reports
• Lead compliance with all HSE policies and safety procedures
• Conduct risk assessments and facilitate toolbox talks
• Act as the lead responder during emergency situations and promote a strong safety culture

Expected:

• Proven years of experience in offshore production operations
• Valid BOSIET/FOET, HUET, and OGUK Medical (or equivalent)
• Proficiency in DCS/ICSS systems and Permit-to-Work processes
• Strong knowledge of offshore production systems, separation, methanol management, TEG packages, and utilities
• Proven leadership experience in remote offshore environments
• Sound understanding of HSE practices, hazard identification, LOTO, and emergency response
• Strong communication and coordination skills to lead multidisciplinary teams during start-up activities
• Ensure compliance with procedures, schedules, and operational requirements
• Effective problem-solving skills during process upsets and operational emergencies

Desirable:

• Engineering degree is preferred but not mandatory
• Experience working within the North Sea energy sector, with an understanding of offshore operations
