About this role
Authority
- Officer of the Deck department
- Responsible for maintenance of vessels deck spaces
- Responsible for maintenance of shipboard life savings appliance
- In charge of ballast water management and record keeping
Required qualifications and competences:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the capacity of Chief Officer in charge of maintenance
- Valid class 1 Masters license and certificates according to STCW 95 as amended
- Good knowledge about maritime rules and regulations (SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, MLC)
- Great leadership skills
- Great communication skills
- Fluent command in English
- Great interpersonal skills and good team leading ability
- Good references
Beneficial experiences:
- Experience from cruise vessel
- Experience from expedition cruise and vessels operating in Artic waters
- Experience from new built and/or site team or project work
- Experience in sailing under NIS flag
- Fluent command in a Scandinavian language
