What you’ll do:
We are seeking a Commercial Pricing Lead to join our Commercial Excellence team for a 2-year fixed term role. Reporting to the Head of Pricing & Value, you will help drive profitable growth across our Retail and Wholesale businesses through effective pricing and value strategies. Working closely with teams across the business, you'll use market insights, customer trends and data analysis to support pricing decisions that deliver value for customers and strong commercial outcomes.
As a highly motivated, commercially minded and analytical professional, you will play an important role in ensuring our pricing approach remains competitive, customer-focused and aligned with business goals, while supporting revenue growth and margin performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing pricing strategies, frameworks and governance processes that support commercial objectives and market competitiveness
- Leading pricing, margin and profitability analysis to identify opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement
- Building financial models, forecasts and scenario analyses to assess the impact of pricing decisions and strategic initiatives
- Driving margin optimisation initiatives through pricing, discount and value strategies across customer segments and product categories
- Monitoring competitor pricing, customer behaviour and market trends to identify risks, opportunities and emerging insights
- Managing end-to-end pricing change processes, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement and governance approvals
- Delivering regular pricing performance reporting, insights and recommendations to support senior leadership decision making
- Establishing and tracking pricing KPIs to evaluate pricing effectiveness and commercial performance
- Partnering with Commercial Finance, Category, Merchandise Planning and other key stakeholders to align pricing and value initiatives
- Leveraging data analytics and visualisation tools to drive evidence-based pricing recommendations and continuous improvement

What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in pricing, sales analysis or commercial analysis, ideally within a retail, wholesale or FMCG environment
- Strong analytical capability, including data analysis, pricing modelling and statistical analysis to support commercial decision-making
- Experience developing and implementing pricing strategies, frameworks and governance processes
- Demonstrated experience conducting pricing, margin, profitability and competitor analysis
- Experience building financial models, forecasting outcomes and completing scenario analysis to support pricing decisions
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience using data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy or similar platforms
- Ability to present pricing insights, commercial recommendations and performance outcomes to stakeholders and senior leaders
- Experience monitoring market trends, customer behaviour and competitor pricing to identify commercial opportunities and risks
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics or a related discipline
