Vintage Air is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Buyer who knows how to keep materials moving, negotiate effectively with suppliers, and identify supply risks before they impact production.
We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of assigned suppliers and materials, independently resolve purchasing challenges, and support a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
What You’ll Do
- Manage purchase orders, suppliers, materials, and delivery schedules
- Review MRP requirements, inventory, demand, and lead times
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and order quantities
- Identify and resolve shortages, delays, and supplier-performance issues
- Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, and delivery
- Identify cost savings, alternative sources, and process improvements
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Inventory, Quality, and Accounting
What You’ll Bring
- At least 4 years of purchasing or procurement experience
- At least 2 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing
- Supplier negotiation and performance-management experience
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
- Knowledge of inventory planning and manufacturing lead times
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
