Shift: Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm
Position Purpose:
Follow all functions of the warehouse tasks including receiving, pulling orders, inventory, cycle counting, packaging, and shipping.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Package parts after assembly to stock or ship in accordance with provided work instructions
- Dispatch inventory to stock, work-in-process, or shipping
- Prepare various reports and documents
- Input computer data
- Count and verify inventory accuracy
- Load and unload trucks via forklift
- Responsible for following all establish Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications/Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- Knowledge of internal warehouse practices and procedures.
- Ability to communicate in English with coworkers and people from other departments in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to count accurately
- Attention to detail required
- Read work orders, sales orders, internal dispatch documents in English
- Experience in preparing and completing documents in English as required for dispatching
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Microsoft Suite experience required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations)
Environmental Condition
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform warehouse-related physical activities on a regular basis, including standing, walking, sitting, bending at the waist, reaching above and below shoulder level, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds frequently, and lifting, carrying, and pushing more than 50 pounds as needed. The employee must also be able to push, pull, grasp, handle, use finger dexterity, and maintain eye-hand and eye-hand-foot coordination while performing job duties. Additional physical requirements include ordinary hearing; near and far vision acuity; depth perception; color perception; normal color vision; corrected or uncorrected distance vision of 20/25 in at least one eye; and vision at 14 inches equal to Jaeger Number 2. Climbing stairs may be required periodically, and climbing ladders, kneeling, crawling, and turning or twisting may be required occasionally.
