The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

General Purpose: Maintains 24 hour-a-day accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on assigned outpatient unit. Oversees and directs unit activities including standards development, human resource management, assessment of resource needs and utilization, staff development and communication within nursing practice as well as among other disciplines and departments. Oversees all performance improvement activities at the unit level and participates in committees at all levels within the institution.

FT position, on-call responsibilities

Responsible for leading and demonstrating the provision of safe patient and family focused quality care for diagnostic imaging of adult and pediatric ED and inpatients in CT, MRI, PET/MRI, Ultrasound, General X-Ray and Nuclear Medicine. Support clinical decision-making; lead huddles, monitor quality data, assist in scheduling and promote a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in the development/implementation of standards, protocols, policies and procedures. Ensures that radiation, radiopharmaceutical and MRI safety principles are maintained. Works in a collaborative manner with modality Service Chiefs, Chief Technologists and Operations Manager to facilitate efficient and cost effective daily operations in relation to patient throughput and many other facets of operations including the ability to monitor and respond to changes in unit metrics- budget, staffing, overtime utilization and patient/staff engagement. Maintains clinical competency to care for patients in diagnostic imaging modalities. This individual is responsible for 24/7 management supported by the unit’s leadership team. The candidate must be flexible and possess excellent communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills, with 5 years of nursing experience and an MS in Nursing preferred (MS required in 5 years).
