About this role
We are a contract manufacturing aluminum extrusion business making aluminum impacts for our customers in a near-net-shape condition as well as performing value added machining services.
Maintenance Managers are responsible for the overall plant maintenance and coordination of activities with other departments in a manner which results in the production of quality product at a cost and schedule consistent with company policies, customer service, and plant objectives.
Maintenance Manager Essential Functions
- Responsible for facility upgrading and maintenance on Presses, CNC machines, robots, and other equipment.
- Analyze equipment needs, evaluate suppliers, and select new equipment to support production needs..
- Design and build end of arm tooling for robotics.
- Work with production team to design and build production automation and test equipment.
- Participates as a member of multi-disciplinary Product Quality Planning teams as needed.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned.
- Keeping inventory of critical spares.
- Managing budget.
- Manage the Maintenance team across multiple shifts.
Maintenance Manager Required Experience
- Proven experience 3-5 years as a maintenance manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of Presses, CNC machines, and support equipment.
- Knowledge of tool room equipment (CNCs, EDMs, lathes, grinders).
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret tooling and part drawings.
- Ability to draft reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, subcontractors, and employees.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Technical, hands-on, aptitude required.
Maintenance Manager Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
- Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to read applicable instructions.
