Position Summary
The accounting manager oversees the hotel’s accounting department and ensures financial accuracy and integrity across all operations. Duties to include managing the “Day to Day” accounting functions to include – Daily revenue reporting, cash handling, labor reporting, A/P review, and supervision of the A/R processes.
Key Responsibilities
[Primary Function / Revenue Generation & Strategy]
Prepare daily revenue report and reconciliation along with cash handling.
Manage the daily credit card reconciliations to Freedom pay and cash management in Evention.
Tracking and follow-up open checks and cashier over/shorts.
Prepare daily labor reporting and tracking.
[Secondary Function / Operations & Execution]
Supervise the A/R processes and management of house accounts and group masters.
Supervise a staff of 2 for A/R on daily activities.
Delegates task and training of accounting and hotel operational staff in the Room’s department and F&B.
[Financial & Operational Management]
Assist in the month-end close process – journal preparation for posting.
Monthly reconciliation of asset and liability GL accounts and ledgers.
Review GLs with departments and assist in preparation of the monthly P&L statement.
[Team Leadership]
Provide assistance to the Director of finance of problem solving of “Day to Day’ operations.
Lead the weekly credit meeting.
Lead and train the accounting staff.
Active member of hotel’s lobby lizard and MOD program.
[Brand, Systems & Compliance]
Working Knowledge of Hilton websites and Brand Standards and portals and Learning University.
Knowledge of Ottimate, M3, and Birchstreet.

Qualifications
Required
College degree, preferably accounting concentration.
3 years of working in an accounting background, preferably in hospitality.
3 or more years of supervising accounting staff.
[Demonstrated technical, operational, sales, or functional expertise]
Knowledge of Hilton Onq, Micros Symphony, M3, Birchstreet, and Ottimate procurement.
Ability to effectively communicate with accounting staff and hotel staff verbally and written.
Preferred
3 or more years working for a Hilton Brand property with a 4-year degree in accounting.

Compensation
Salary range of position based off experience from $68k - $72k.
Position is part of the Hotel’s incentive plan to max out at 15% of base salary based off Keep components with GOP being the gatekeeper.
