To assist the Dining Room Manager in planning, organizing, directing, staffing, leading, controlling, coordinating the dining room, bar, training staff and inventory control.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise, train and prepare daily schedule for the waiters and waitresses. Manage breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
- Maintain standards for safety, sanitation, storage of food supplies and banquet supplies.
- Interact courteously and tactfully with managers, coworkers, customers, vendors, residents and resident family members.
- Ability to promote and execute our culture of “Yes”.
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent (GED).
- At least two (2) years of experience in supervising dining room staff and food service.
- Ability to speak, read & write English with good comprehension. Spanish preferred.
- Basic math skills required.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of the restaurant service; health, sanitation and safety requirements.

- Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations.
- Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
- Strong Leadership skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and empathetic listening.
- Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a variety of people.
