About this role
We are looking for an experienced Chinese/ Japanese Wok Cook to join our kitchen team in Doha. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience working with a traditional Asian wok and be confident preparing fried rice, fried noodles, stir-fried dishes, and other wok-based items in a busy restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and cook confidently using a Asian wok at high heat.
Prepare high-quality fried rice, fried noodles, stir-fried vegetables, chicken, beef, shrimp, and other wok dishes.
Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation requirements.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and speed during busy service periods.
Ensure proper preparation, storage, and handling of ingredients.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety.
Keep the wok station clean, organized, and fully prepared for service.
Minimize food waste and ensure proper stock rotation.
* Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Proven experience as a Asian Wok Cook .
Strong practical experience preparing fried rice and fried noodles using a Chinese wok.
Able to work efficiently under pressure during peak service.
Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
Valid Health & Safety / Food Safety Certificate.
Transferable Iqama / Qatar residency documentation.
Currently based in Doha, Qatar.
Available to join immediately.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
Experience in restaurants, food halls, QSRs, or high-volume F&B operations.
Experience with Asian, Chinese, Thai, or pan-Asian cuisine.
Ability to follow recipes and adapt to a standardized menu.
