About this role

Responsibilities:

  • This role will own automotive Class-D audio amplifier technical issue resolving, also responsible of driving opportunity DWINs for Auto external amplifier, Head Unit, Telematics, E-call & AVAS applications. 
  • Supporting customers design our audio amplifiers into their end product. This involves answering questions and helping debug customer issues via email, forum, calls, and on-site visits, reviewing customer schematics and board layouts, attempting to duplicate customer system behavior within TI for better debug, drive collaboration with cross-function team to seek for solution/workaround. Specific on-site time will be required to help customers design and debug their systems using our devices. 
  • This role involves collaboration with cross-functional team across global sites, including product line inside - design engineers, firmware engineers, validation and test team, system and marketing team, also with sales & application team on customer project smooth execution to production, and training FAEs on products basic knowledges and how to sell/use.
  • Provide customer system level solutions to address application requirements including basic function, reliability & easier, cost attractive implementation.
  • Fully understand customer’s system level requirements. Work with systems and designs to define common customer features/designs and development challenges for new product definition, provide data driven product recommendations.
  • Build prototype for new feature from customer system level, own key parameter design and customer interface(register, HW pins) design, own value proposition learning and definition.
  • Support customer returns to recreate issue and provide recommendations, collaboration with field quality engineer, design team and sustaining engineer for FA process and test coverage improvements.
  • Designing customer evaluation modules (EVMs), evaluating EVM performance and functionality, specifying software graphical user interface tools to work with each EVM, and driving each EVM and accompanying software through to production release. 
  • Using lab equipment to make measurements related to audio performance, power consumption, and other performance parameters, organizing and presenting the data collected so as to be understandable by customers and TI internal personnel. 
  • Create technical documents(design guides, application notes, TI Designs, blogs, models, simulation tools, etc.) that enables customers to effectively select, design in and debug products.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree
  • 2 + years related Engineering experiences including:
    • Strong responsible attitude to own and drive/resolve customer issues 
    • Master schematic/layout tools like Altium Designer, etc.
    • Solid analog and basic mixed signal chain knowledge
    • Solid lab instrument handling capability: oscilloscope, AP, signal generator and data analysis handling capability

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Has MCU related HW & software experience, able to write C code or familiar with AI tools for SW implementation.
  • Experience with Amplifier/ADC/DAC/PLL/DC-DC converter application is a plus. 
  • EMC (CE and RE) handling knowledge & key board parameter distraction, simulation capability is a plus
  • Experience of playing music or making music is a plus.
