Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to develop and secure client opportunities while serving as an experienced Project Manager. They must reside in Louisiana and have at least 15 years of experience within the consulting engineering industry or on the client side. At a minimum, the candidate should be a strong and capable Project Manager with demonstrated success in managing projects and client relationships.

Responsibilities

Provide project leadership under the general direction of the Project Director. Assume accountability for achieving designated project objectives, deliverables, and overall project performance. Develop and maintain the Project Procedures Manual with guidance from the Project Director. Regularly communicate project status, progress, risks, and key issues to the Project Director. Coordinate with Project Controls to establish, monitor, and manage project schedules and budgets. Determine project staffing needs, lead multidisciplinary design, and project teams. Maintain a thorough understanding of contractual requirements, ensuring project execution aligns with contract terms and obligations. Foster a cost-conscious project environment while driving efficiency and value. Maximize project profitability and contribute to the overall success of TCE. Proactively identify challenges, develop solutions, and deliver exceptional value to clients and stakeholders. Seek opportunities to expand TCE’s role, services, and client relationships. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to support successful project outcomes. Maintain clear and effective communication among all project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Lead scope development efforts and manage changes effectively to minimize impacts to cost, schedule, and quality. Promote a safe work environment and ensure designs comply with TCE and client safety standards and expectations. Conduct project requirements reviews to confirm alignment with client objectives and project goals. Ensure appropriate project controls are established and functioning effectively. Define and implement the project organizational structure under the guidance of the Project Director. Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan for assigned projects. Ensure project activities are executed in accordance with the approved Project Execution Plan. Coach, mentor, and support the development of project team members. Serve as the primary client interface for assigned projects, maintaining strong and professional relationships. Drive client satisfaction by delivering high-quality project results that meet or exceed expectations. Comply with all TCE policies, procedures, operating guidelines, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in consulting engineering or a related client-side environment. Demonstrated project management experience within the engineering industry, with consulting engineering experience strongly preferred. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and successfully deliver projects that meet client expectations, schedule, and budget requirements. Strong understanding of project execution, client relationship management, and business development principles. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with a commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution required.
