About this role
The Associate Sales Representative is an entry-level direct sales role for an individual contributor who is developing core sales, product, customer engagement, and business planning capabilities. The role supports sales performance in assigned territories by building customer relationships, understanding customer needs, communicating key product features and clinical applications, and contributing to sales opportunities under guidance from a manager, mentor, or more experienced team members. The role is expected to act with integrity, deliver on commitments, collaborate effectively, seek feedback, and build the knowledge and confidence required to grow within the sales career path.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
Sales ownership
Supports sales performance in assigned territories by contributing to agreed sales activities, following up on leads, preparing for customer interactions, and progressing opportunities under guidance from manager, mentor, or more experienced colleagues.
Takes ownership for assigned tasks and keeps the manager informed on progress, risks, and customer updates.
Commercial insight and business planning
Builds basic commercial understanding by using customer, territory, pipeline, and product information to support sales planning.
Contributes to simple daily, weekly, and monthly activity plans with input from manager or mentor.
Identifies customer needs and potential opportunities, and supports business planning through accurate follow-up and preparation.
Sales execution and negotiations
Supports the sales process by identifying customer needs, explaining relevant product features and benefits, preparing customer discussions, and following up on agreed actions.
Participates in pricing and commercial discussions within defined guidance and escalates more complex topics to manager or senior colleagues.
Ensures all sales activities are conducted in line with compliance requirements and approved processes.
Customer and stakeholder partnerships
Builds and maintains professional customer relationships by listening to customer needs, asking appropriate questions, responding in a timely manner, and delivering on commitments.
Develops an understanding of customer decision-making processes and relevant stakeholders. Supports after-sales activities and case support where applicable, under guidance.
Expertise and advisory role
Develops product, procedural, clinical, and commercial knowledge relevant to the role.
Communicates essential product features, benefits, and clinical applications accurately and in line with training and approved materials.
Seeks feedback, applies learning, and builds confidence in customer conversations.
Indirect sales and partner coordination
When applicable, supports indirect sales activities by providing product information, assisting with partner training or customer engagements, and following up on agreed actions.
Works with manager or senior colleagues to ensure partner-related activities are aligned with business priorities and compliance requirements.
Leadership, collaboration and role modelling
Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and professionalism in daily work.
Collaborates effectively with manager, peers, and cross-functional partners.

Education & special trainings:
University degree, Diploma or equivalent experience required
Valid driver’s license
Qualifications & experience:

Knowledge of medical device environment & medical device regulations
Commercial and business awareness/experience
Italy Pay Ranges:
- Italy: €30.800 - €51.300 EUR Annual
