Who we are looking for

State Street is seeking an experienced institutional sales professional to drive business development for its Transition Management business across Asia Pacific. This individual contributor role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and winning transition management mandates from institutional investors throughout the region.

The successful candidate will leverage State Street's unique position as a leading global custodian, asset manager, and investment services provider to originate opportunities, deepen client relationships, and position Transition Management as a strategic solution for managing portfolio change. The role requires a commercially driven professional with strong institutional relationships, deep knowledge of capital markets, and the ability to influence sophisticated investment decision-makers.

What you will be responsible for

As Transition Management Sales VP, you will

  • Originate and convert transition management opportunities across institutional investors throughout Asia Pacific with a particular focus on Australia.

  • Build and maintain relationships with asset owners, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurers, asset managers, consultants, and other institutional investors.

  • Develop a strong pipeline of transition opportunities and manage prospects through the full sales cycle.

  • Partner with existing State Street relationship teams across to identify transition events and uncover new business opportunities.

  • Work closely with colleagues across State Street Investment Services, State Street Markets, and State Street Investment Management teams to deliver integrated client solutions.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients undertaking manager changes, portfolio restructurings, asset allocation shifts, fund mergers, and significant cash flow events.

  • Present transition strategies and proposals to CIOs, investment committees, trustee boards, and senior client stakeholders.

  • Maintain strong consultant relationships and identify opportunities through the consultant community.

  • Provide market intelligence on competitive activity, industry trends, and client priorities throughout the region.

  • Represent State Street at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in institutional sales, transition management, capital markets, custody, trading, implementation consulting, or related areas.

  • Demonstrated success winning institutional mandates and developing senior decision-maker relationships.

  • Strong understanding of institutional investment management and capital markets.
