- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. For those with more than six years of relevant working experience and excellent professional skills, the educational requirement can be relaxed to a college degree or above.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Technical Customer Support Engineering position involved in R&D and / or Product Development work in an industrial products environment (Preferred in Fastening Industry), technical knowledge in threaded fastener and blind rivet fastener and blind rivet nut is must.
- Some knowledge and experience dealing with customers in Automotive Industry.
- Computer literate and familiar with the use of Auto CAD and other similar engineering design software
- Good English communication skills (Written and Spoken)
- Ability to communicate with and understand customer needs and requirements
- Decisive and confident with a strong sense of urgency and personal commitment.
- Able to build strong and dependable teamwork to meet customer requirements
- Possesses excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional/trade publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES/任务和职责
- The purpose of the position is to provide the best solution to customer’s technical needs. Coordinate all company resources to meet customer needs.
- Supports salesperson in the identification of Customer requirements, specifications and preferences and to develop the new business.
- Develop or identify suitable Fastening Solutions (Product & Use recommendations) to meet customer specific application needs.
- Conduct on-site assembly test, delivery on-site technical support to customers.
- Modify existing products in order to fit with Customer specific applications.
- Manages Value Analysis and Value Engineering initiatives to understand application problems encountered by customers (Failure Analysis, Tear Down, Line Review, etc.)
- Develops and maintains a good customer rapport and a positive image through the Customer contacts.
- Provide technical training to various groups (Internal and External) on production application
- Completes and submits on a timely basis all required internal information, reports and documents.
- Operates within the boundaries of the Business Conduct Guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
