NuDevCo Investments - 30 year old entrepreneurial growth with a family office building both public and private companies. NuDevCo Investments exist in different sectors to include Retail Energy Provider, Logistics, Real Estate Financing, Commercial Solar, Energy Storage, Commercial EV Charging Stations, Beverage Distribution, Data Centers & Insurance.

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant responsibilities include ensuring information in the General Ledger is accurate, facilitating audit related requests, ensuring coding for cost centers is complete and accurate, and entering, reviewing and releasing entries related to Gross Margin, Cash, G&A Accruals, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, etc.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Responsible for ensuring the accounting records are closed on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in-line with the agreed upon close calendar
• Responsible for reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries/transactions ensuring the entries are accurate, balanced and contain appropriate back up to ensure SOX compliance
• Responsible for completing and reviewing all balance sheet reconciliations for applicable areas and creating checks and analysis to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the reconciliations
• Keep track of transactions with affiliated companies and prepare/review the related journal entries and accruals
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to their supporting detail and resolve differences
• Prepare accounting schedules (i.e. rollforwards, fixed asset schedules, affiliates rollforward, etc) for internal and external reporting purposes
• Assist in variance analysis between periods
• Build relationships with all departments to obtain the most accurate information for accruals and to assist in budget vs. actual analysis
• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Strong ability to get things completed in the most efficient and effective manner possible
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of public/private accounting experience
• Strong foundation in US GAAP
• Knowledgeable with Excel, variance analysis, trend analysis, and general ledger
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong reconciliation and controls oriented process with understanding of the data flow between IT systems
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

• Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc
• Could involve some lifting up to 20 pounds
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time without much movement
• Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines
