Consulting delivers Business & Transformation and Technology Consulting
services across government, defence and commercial clients. As our business
continues to grow, we’re looking for a Business Consulting Manager who can lead
complex assignments, build trusted client relationships and help develop our
consulting practice.
You’ll
take responsibility for client outcomes, delivery quality and commercial
performance while leading multidisciplinary teams. Working with senior
stakeholders, you’ll use evidence-based insight and constructive challenge to
shape decisions and support sustainable change. You’ll also identify new and
follow-on opportunities, coach colleagues and contribute to the development of
our consulting propositions, methods and reusable assets.
The
role can be based across the Southwest corridor within reach of Bristol,
Reading or London. Our consultants are typically expected to work on-site with
clients or from an office at least three days per week. This approach offers
flexibility while supporting close collaboration, strong client relationships
and high-quality delivery.
What
you'll be doing:
- Leading complex consulting assignments, projects and workstreams to deliver successful client outcomes.
- Designing and implementing practical solutions to complex business and technology challenges.
- Building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, providing constructive challenge and clear advice.
- Managing delivery against agreed scope, quality, timescales, budgets and commercial objectives, taking corrective action where required.
- Identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies throughout delivery.
- Supporting business growth through opportunity qualification, proposals and follow-on work, while coaching colleagues and developing consulting propositions andmethods.
What you’ll bring:
- Existing Security Check clearance and willingness and eligibility to progress your security clearance where required.
- Experience leading consulting assignments, professional services engagements or comparable client-facing delivery.
- Proven experience delivering complex transformation, change, technology or business improvement initiatives.
- Experience leading project teams, workstreams or consulting engagements.Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience influencing senior stakeholders and securing support for complex business change.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, alongside experience supporting bids, proposals or other business development activities.
It would be great if you had:
- Existing or ability to obtain DV clearance.
- Professional consulting accreditation.
- Relevant qualifications in project management, programme management, business analysis, change management, architecture or continuous improvement.
- Experience working within public sector, defence, national security or regulated environments.
