We are seeking an Embedded Linux Software Engineer to join our team.

What you'll be doing in this position:

  • Design, develop, test and maintain user space embedded applications, both in low level and system level.
  • Participate in design reviews, architecture definition, test planning and integrations.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software issues
  • Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, IoT technologies, and development tools.
  • Work with adjacent teams such as software, integration, system, support and hardware.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop and design high-quality code following best practices to ensure reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Optimize and enhance the performance of existing software components.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software.
  • Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle including concept, design, development, deployment, and support.
  • Leverage cutting-edge AI tools and the latest development features to accelerate development, improve code quality, and drive innovation across the team.
  • On the SST group, you'll be helping develop the management system for SolarEdge's Solid-State Transformer (SST) platform — the technology powering our new AI/hyperscale data center power solution

Requirements

  • BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience in significant embedded software development with Linux
  • Experience with using AI tools during the development process
  • Proficiency in C, C++ and Python programming languages
  • Proficiency in programming in both C and C++ for embedded systems
  • Experience in unit testing and test-driven development for embedded systems - An advantage.
  • Familiarity with security best practices for embedded systems - An advantage.
  • Experience with Buildroot Linux build system - An advantage.
  • Experience with Linux kernel, device drivers, and system-level programming - An advantage.
