Currently hiring experienced Steel Erectors for on-going commercial construction projects. We are seeking dependable Steel Erector professionals with experience erecting pre-engineered metal buildings and structural steel systems. The ideal Steel Erector candidate is comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and as part of a fast-paced construction team.
Steel Erector Job Responsibilities
- Assemble and erect pre-engineered metal building systems, including structural steel framing, wall panels, and roof systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
- Measure, align, and install structural components accurately
- Bolt, weld, or fasten steel components as required
- Install insulation, siding, trim, and other building materials
- Safely operate aerial lifts, forklifts, hoists, and other construction equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe work area while following OSHA and jobsite safety standards
- Work with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule
Steel Erector Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience erecting metal buildings, structural steel, or related commercial construction
- Aerial Lift certification is preferred but can be provided for qualified candidates
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying outdoor weather conditions
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
