Skilled Construction Laborer

Skillforce is hiring Skilled Construction Laborers for ongoing project work throughout Richmond, Virginia. As a Skilled Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for supporting the carpenters, plumbers, and electricians on an active commercial jobsite. Skilled Construction Laborer Pay:

• $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, based on your commercial construction experience.
• W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.

Skilled Construction Laborer Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shift, with overtime available as the project schedule requires.

Skilled Construction Laborer Responsibilities:

• You will assist the lead tradesmen on site with material handling, layout support, and daily project tasks.
• You will use hand and power tools to help assemble, install, and repair materials.
• You will handle demolition, material staging, loading and unloading deliveries, and equipment storage across the jobsite.
• You will keep work areas, walkways, and laydown areas clean and clear so the crews can keep moving safely.
• You will read basic blueprints and take accurate measurements and cuts when the crew needs them.

Skilled Construction Laborer Qualifications:

• You have one or more years of experience working on commercial construction sites.
• You have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the jobsite each day.
• You bring your own basic hand tools and your own personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, boots, and vest.
• You are dependable, punctual, and comfortable taking direction from the tradesmen you are supporting.
• You can pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, and you are authorized to work in the United States.
