Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Pipefitters for a fabrication shop in New Albany, IN. This is a great opportunity for a skilled trades professional looking for steady hours and the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and piping specifications.
• Install, assemble, and fit pipe and piping systems according to specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, bevel, and prepare pipe for installation.
• Lay out and position pipe, fittings, valves, and other components.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform pipe fitting, alignment, and fabrication as required.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, alignment, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and production requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous pipefitting experience required.
• Fabrication or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and piping layouts.
• Ability to accurately measure and use hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment.
