About SiTime

SiTime is the Precision Timing company.

Timing is the heartbeat of all electronics, ensuring performance, resilience and scalability. For decades, quartz devices, non-silicon technology, have kept systems in sync, but they struggle in harsher, more demanding environments. MEMS-based Precision Timing delivers greater accuracy, smaller size and resilience. Today, MEMS timing powers over 400 applications, including high-growth ones in AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT.

Our semiconductor MEMS programmable solutions offer a rich feature set that enables customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power, and better reliability. With more than 4 billion devices shipped, SiTime is changing the timing industry. For more information, visit: www.sitime.com.

Job Summary:

SiTime is looking for a Director, Global Facilities to lead the strategy and operations behind our entire global footprint — shaping the physical foundation of a company scaling fast. This is a senior, highly visible leadership role responsible for everything from the build-out of SiTime's new headquarters along Highway 101 in Silicon Valley to the day-to-day operational standards that keep every global site running. The ideal candidate is a strategic operator — equally credible shaping a multi-year capital strategy with executive leadership as they are rolling up their sleeves to resolve a facilities issue on-site. This role partners directly with Finance, Engineering, IT, HR, and site leaders worldwide, and will be the driving voice behind how SiTime's physical footprint scales to match our momentum.

Location of Responsibility: APAC, EMEA, Americas

Responsibilities

Global Facilities Operations & Maintenance

  • Own facilities operations and standards across SiTime's worldwide sites (Santa Clara, San Jose, Tempe, Korea, Munich, China, Shanghai), including building systems, HVAC, electrical, janitorial, security, and general maintenance
  • Set consistent global facilities standards and preventive maintenance practices, adapting for local requirements at each site
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for facilities issues globally, directing local site contacts, property managers, and vendors

Capital Projects & Space Planning

  • Lead the build-out of SiTime's new Santa Clara headquarters end to end, directing architects, general contractors, landlords, and internal stakeholders from design through move-in
  • Own space planning and reconfiguration strategy across global sites to keep pace with SiTime's rapid headcount growth
  • Direct furniture, signage, and move logistics for office expansions, relocations, and new site openings

Real Estate, Lease & Contract Management

  • Own lease strategy and administration across all sites — negotiating terms, tracking key dates, and managing landlord relationships
  • Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts (janitorial, security, food service, maintenance, construction, and other service providers) across regions
  • Own facilities-related insurance programs (e.g., property, general liability) in coordination with Finance/Legal, ensuring appropriate coverage across all sites

Budget Management

  • Own the global facilities budget end-to-end, track spend against forecast by site, and drive cost-saving initiatives
  • Own capital planning for new sites, expansions, and major projects, and present recommendations to senior leadership

Engineering & Lab Space Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering leadership to plan, build out, and maintain lab space that meets technical, safety, and equipment requirements
  • Translate engineering and R&D space needs into facilities project plans and budgets
  • Direct lab-specific infrastructure work (power, cooling, gas/chemical handling, specialized ventilation, etc.) in coordination with EHS and Engineering

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Own workplace safety programs, emergency preparedness plans, and life-safety systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and country-specific regulations
  • Partner with EHS and HR on incident response, ergonomics, and safety training across all sites
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, ADA/local accessibility requirements, and applicable environmental regulations

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Own workplace amenities and services that support a positive in-office experience at each site (food/beverage programs, wellness spaces, conference room technology, etc.)
  • Lead facilities logistics for company events, all-hands meetings, and executive visits
  • Serve as a visible, senior point of contact for employees on workplace matters, both locally and at remote sites

Sustainability & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability initiatives across SiTime's global facilities footprint
  • Bring industry best practices to space utilization, security, and building operations as the company scales
  • Help coordinate data collection for ESG reporting for the company as related to facilities.

Team Management

  • Build and lead a team to support SiTime's growing global facilities footprint
  • Develop and mentor team members, establishing clear ownership and career growth paths as the function scales

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field
  • 20+ years of progressive facilities management experience, including 7+ years leading multi-site/multi-region facilities organizations, ideally in semiconductor, technology, or life sciences
  • Experience standing up facilities operations in new countries or opening new sites
  • Demonstrated success managing office, lab, and specialized technical spaces (e.g., cleanrooms) in a fast-growing, scaling environment
  • Direct experience leading corporate build-outs, relocations, or major capital/construction projects from planning through occupancy, at a strategic and P&L level
  • Strong track record negotiating vendor contracts and commercial real estate leases
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the judgment to operate effectively with site leaders and senior executives across cultures and geographies
  • Experience building and leading a team
  • Excellent program and budget management skills, with the ability to lead multiple concurrent projects across time zones and competing priorities
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed and to be responsive across time zones

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Facilities-related field
  • Experience in a publicly traded semiconductor or hardware company
