- Material Receiving Interface (Non-Warehouse)
- Coordinate with the receiving team to verify that incoming piping materials meet project specifications.
- Ensure all materials received are properly tagged, documented, and transferred to fabrication-controlled areas.
- Work with QC to verify MTCs, heat numbers, and resolve NCRs related to piping materials.
- Traceability & Documentation
- Maintain full traceability of all piping materials issued to fabrication, including heat numbers and batch records.
- Ensure accurate updates in ERP/MRP or material-tracking systems for all issues, transfers, and consumption.
- Maintain logs for spool-wise material issuance and consumption.
- Support preparation of traceability packages for QC and client requirements.
- Fabrication Yard Material Control
- Oversee material staging, segregation, and identification within fabrication areas.
- Ensure materials are preserved, protected, and stored according to grade, size, and project requirements.
- Coordinate safe handling and movement of pipes, fittings, and spools within the fabrication yard.
- Ensure materials are delivered to welding stations, assembly bays, and work fronts on time.
- Material Issuance & Work-Front Support
- Oversee issuance of materials based on isometric drawings, BOMs, and spool release plans.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to fabrication teams to avoid production delays.
- Track spool-wise material consumption and ensure accurate reporting.
- Coordinate with production supervisors to prioritize critical spools and urgent work fronts.
- Coordination & Communication
- Act as the primary interface with procurement for expediting and delivery updates.
- Liaise with engineering for material substitutions, revisions, and technical clarifications.
- Support planning teams with material readiness updates for weekly progress meetings.
- Communicate risks, shortages, and material constraints to project management.
