The Development Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day fundraising operations of Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI). This position is responsible for processing gifts, maintaining accurate donor and funder records, administering online giving platforms, supporting financial reconciliation activities, and generating reports that help inform fundraising efforts. The Development Operations Coordinator helps ensure the integrity of SEI's fundraising data and systems while supporting timely donor stewardship and acknowledgment processes.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy. Working closely with the Development Team, this position provides the operational support necessary to maintain strong fundraising infrastructure and an excellent donor experience, allowing fundraisers to focus on cultivating relationships and securing philanthropic support.
Responsibilities
Gift Processing and Data Management
Accurately entering information into the donor database (CRM), including donations, grants, meetings, and notes.
Processing online and offline gifts (checks, credit cards, etc.).
Generating gift acknowledgments and tax receipts in a timely manner.
Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of donor records.
Conduct routine database maintenance activities, including updating constituent information, identifying duplicate records, and supporting data-clean up efforts.
Generating reports on fundraising activities and donor data.
Maintaining file sharing system for the department.
Online Giving and Reporting
Create, manage, and monitor online giving forms and donation pages.
Build and maintain fundraising reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators.
Prepare recurring fundraising, donor, campaign, and pipeline reports for the Development staff, Executive leadership, and board or committee reporting needs.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports, dashboards, and fundraising systems.
Financial Reconciliation and Invoicing
Perform regular reconciliation of fundraising and grant data with the Finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Generate and send invoices to donors and sponsors for pledges, sponsorships, and other payment obligations.
Track invoice payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
Other Duties
Support for fundraising-related campaigns, initiatives, or projects.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred.
1-3 years of experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising operations, database management, gift processing, customer service, or related field.
Excellent data entry, database management, and recordkeeping skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Proven experience working with CRM databases, reports, and administrative systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling donor and organizational information.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with online giving or fundraising platforms.
Experience supporting fundraising operations, donor stewardship, gift processing, or development administration.
Knowledge of basic financial reconciliation or accounting practices.
Experience with Blackbaud products, particularly Raiser's Edge NXT.
