Security Officer — Full Time
Site Location: Union Gap, WA
Wage: $22.00/HR
Schedule: Monday - Friday 11pm-7am

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Objectives
- Ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and company assets.
- Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
- Help prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security threats.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
- Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
- Provide visible deterrence against criminal activity and suspicious behavior.
- Support organizational operations by creating a safe and secure workplace.
- Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
- Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
- Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
- Control building access by verifying identification, checking credentials, and managing visitor logs.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and security incidents.
- Enforce security protocols, company rules, and regulations for premises, personnel, and visitors.
- Inspect doors, windows, gates, and security equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
- Investigate suspicious activities, behavior, and security breaches.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Above average computer / technology skills needed.
- Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
- Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
- Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
