Position Summary

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive consultant-level care to infants, children and adolescents, managing a broad range of acute and chronic paediatric conditions. The role offers an opportunity to work in a modern tertiary healthcare environment alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis and treatment for paediatric patients.
  • Manage acute, chronic and complex paediatric conditions.
  • Conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds and follow-ups.
  • Assess and manage paediatric emergencies when required.
  • Develop individualized treatment and care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and coordinate ongoing care.
  • Work closely with Paediatric Surgery, Neonatology, Paediatric Cardiology and other specialties.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior doctors and medical staff.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical case discussions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
  • Support teaching and training of residents and junior medical staff.
  • Contribute to the development of paediatric services and clinical protocols.
  • Medical degree with recognised postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics.
  • American Board, Canadian Board, Australian Board, Irish Board, CCT/CCST or equivalent preferred.
  • Consultant-level clinical experience in Paediatrics.
  • Strong experience in a tertiary or multispecialty hospital setting.
  • Eligible for DHA/DoH/MOHAP Consultant licensing.
  • Excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills.
