Position Summary
The Women’s Lacrosse Camp Employee supports the Westminster Coaching Staff in executing all aspects of the youth camps. This includes setup and breakdown of equipment, team check-in/check-out, and scorekeeping of individual games. Employees will contribute to a positive, safe, and fun learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Background Check Completed
- Online Training about Minors on Campus (will be provided)
Primary Responsibilities & Tasks
- Camp Setup & Breakdown: Assist in preparing and dismantling equipment before and after each camp session.
- Camper Supervision: Monitor participants throughout the day, ensuring safety and engagement.
- Check-In & Check-Out: Help with daily registration, parent communication, and camper transitions.
- Team Support: Collaborate with other student employees and staff to ensure smooth camp operations.
- Safety & Conduct: Uphold safety protocols and serve as a positive role model for youth participants.
Learning Outcomes Student employees in this position will:
- Develop leadership and organizational skills in a team sport setting
- Gain experience in planning and executing athletic events and camps
- Strengthen verbal communication skills
- Learn and practice safety and supervision standards for youth programs
- Enhance problem-solving and teamwork in a dynamic environment
