This position is responsible for:Developing, implementing, and monitoring a comprehensive volunteer engagement strategy that strengthens volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, retention, recognition, and community involvement across all Salvation Army locations within the Division.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary administrator for Golden, providing administration, configuration, troubleshooting, user support, reporting, and training; maintain and regularly audit volunteer opportunities, onboarding workflows, records, and processes.
Implement and monitor divisional volunteer engagement strategies that align with Territorial and National priorities.
Monitor volunteer participation, engagement, and retention and recommend improvement; ensure volunteers receive orientation, training, supervision, and ongoing support.
Train and support local Volunteer Coordinators, Development Departments, Area Commanders, Corps Officers, and program leadership; assist field locations in establishing and evaluating volunteer programs.
Provide guidance in onboarding, screening, orientation, supervision, conflict resolution, policy compliance, and volunteer dismissal procedures; develop and update volunteer training materials, toolkits, resources, and operational guidelines
Develop volunteer partnerships that increase community engagement; cultivate relationships with community organizations, schools, civic groups, and faith-based organizations.
Work with Marketing and Communications to promote volunteer opportunities.
Assist with Angel Tree, Red Kettle Campaign, Stuff the Bus, Food Drives, Community Meals, Thanksgiving Distribution, Christmas Assistance Programs, and Disaster Response Operations
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Travel extensively throughout the Division.
Travel frequently throughout the Division using personal transportation.
Frequent travel with overnight stays to accomplish the responsibilities of the position.
Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, sit, and drive for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry materials associated with volunteer events.
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Services, Social Work, or a related field AND three years of progressively responsible experience in volunteer engagement, volunteer program management, community relations, or nonprofit administration.
OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
