Are you passionate about agile methodologies and experienced in leading teams to success? Join the SAIC team as a Scrum Master for the Precision Fires/MLRS program located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
SAIC is seeking a dynamic and proactive Scrum Master who can foster collaboration, work to continuously improve processes, and ensure the successful delivery of critical projects that support national defense. This scrum master role offers the opportunity to shape critical development initiatives while working directly alongside our key government customers.
- Facilitate Agile Processes: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other scrum ceremonies to ensure effective collaboration and communication within the team.
- Remove Obstacles: Identify and address any impediments that may hinder the team's progress, facilitating smooth and efficient project execution.
- Promote Agile Practices: Advocate for and ensure adherence to agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
- Collaborate and Coordinate: Work closely with product owners, development teams, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with project goals and delivery timelines.
- Track and Report Metrics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators and agile metrics, using data to drive improvements in team performance and project outcomes.
- Foster Team Development: Support the professional growth of team members, providing coaching and mentoring to enhance their agile skills and capabilities.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all relevant policies, standards, and regulations, maintaining the highest standards of accountability and integrity.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and five (5)+ years or more experience; Additional six (6) years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess an active Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Scrum Master role
Deep understanding of agile principles and practices,
Demonstrated experience in the following scrum activities:
Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, decision-making process, and resolving conflicts and issues
Monitoring progress and performance, and assisting teams to make improvements
Helping product owners and development teams achieve customer satisfaction
Leading working sessions with product owners to review and determine requirements, scope, and schedule constraints
Guiding and coaching Scrum Teams in using Agile Methodology and Scrum practices
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Automated Testing
Microsoft Azure DevOps or JIRA
Desired Experience:
Experience with defense projects – prior experience in supporting government or defense projects, particularly in the area of weapon systems, department of defense or similar programs
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Agilist
