Our Client
Our client, an online sports betting company, seeks to employ a Junior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records, record daily transactions, and ensure all journal entries are properly documented and authorized using QuickBooks.
  • Process vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, track customer billings, and follow up on outstanding receivables to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare routine financial schedules, budget variance reports, and management statements utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel tools (e.g., pivot tables and financial formulas…etc.).
  • Assist the senior finance team with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, and asset depreciation schedules.
  • Organize financial documentation, receipts, and supporting schedules to facilitate internal reviews, tax filings (VAT,PAYE and WHT).
  • Maintain digital and physical filing systems for all financial transactions in compliance with corporate governance policies and local financial regulations.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional accounting certifications (or in-progress status with ICAN, ACCA, etc.) are a distinct advantage.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or corporate finance roles (internship experience included).
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience using QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) for ledger management, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to handle large datasets, utilize formulas, build pivot tables, and format financial spreadsheets cleanly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time-management abilities with the capacity to meet strict financial deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality regarding sensitive corporate financial data.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
