Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Hotel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel and ensure a high standard of guest service, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.


Key Responsibilities

1. Hotel Operations

  • Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments function efficiently.
  • Coordinate the activities of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and other operational units.
  • Ensure hotel facilities, rooms, and common areas are maintained to the required standards.
  • Monitor operational processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with established hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.

2. Guest Experience & Customer Service

  • Maintain high standards of guest service and satisfaction.
  • Handle guest complaints, concerns, and escalated issues professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure staff consistently deliver a professional and welcoming guest experience.

3. Team Leadership & Staff Management

  • Supervise, motivate, and coordinate hotel staff across various departments.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of employees.
  • Set clear expectations and ensure staff performance aligns with hotel standards.
  • Address staff-related issues and promote a positive and professional work environment.
  • Prepare and manage staff schedules in line with operational requirements.

4. Financial & Business Management

  • Monitor hotel revenue, expenses, and overall financial performance.
  • Work with the finance team to control operational costs and minimize wastage.
  • Monitor occupancy, room rates, revenue performance, and other relevant business indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

5. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Work with the sales and marketing team to drive room bookings and other revenue streams.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve occupancy and revenue.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships, promotions, and business development.

6. Compliance, Safety & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with relevant hospitality regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain proper standards for hygiene, security, and hotel safety.
  • Ensure operational risks are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reports.

7. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare regular reports on hotel operations, occupancy, revenue, guest satisfaction, and staff performance.
  • Provide management with insights and recommendations for improving hotel performance.
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, contractors, and other external stakeholders when required.
  • Escalate significant operational and business issues to senior management.




Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in hotel/hospitality management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality industry practices.
  • Proven experience managing and coordinating teams.
  • Strong customer service and guest relationship management skills.
  • Good understanding of hotel revenue, cost control, and operational performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with hotel management/PMS software.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
