Our Client
Our Client, a restaurant, seeks to employ an Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
  • Monitor sales, expenses, cash flow, and profitability.
  • Reconcile cash, POS, bank, and other payment accounts.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Monitor daily sales and identify revenue variances.
  • Track food, beverage, and operating costs.
  • Monitor inventory usage and wastage.
  • Identify financial leakages and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with approved prices, budgets, and financial policies.
  • Identify new business and revenue opportunities for the restaurant.
  • Develop ideas for new products, services, promotions, and revenue streams.
  • Conduct basic market and competitor analysis.
  • Develop business proposals and financial projections for new ideas.
  • Work with management to test and implement viable business ideas.
  • Identify opportunities to increase customer spending and improve profitability.
  • Provide financial information to support management decision-making.
  • Analyse business performance and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Participate in management and strategy meetings.
  • Support the development of business plans and growth strategies.

Requirements

  • B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/POS systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of restaurant operations and cost management.
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
