The Division Order Manager is primarily responsible for the organization and analysis of unit ownership information obtained from oil and gas leases, agreements, title opinions, curative, and other land related documents. This information is used to create division of interest for the purpose of the revenue disbursements, division/transfer orders, including the set-up and maintenance of revenue, marketing, take in kind and all other related decks.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of record title ownership division of interest in the revenue deck
Ensure the timely payment of royalties in accordance with state statutes
Process all transfer documents from interest owners to maintain accurate division of interest
Analyze title opinions, land contracts, operating agreements, oil and gas leases, land broker reports, curative, well and regulatory documents, conveyances, probate and heirship data and other legal documents to determine ownership and lease burden relationships for production proceeds from oil and gas wells
Coordinate with accounting to ensure proper deck preparation and timely distribution of revenues
Maintain and update divisions of interest decks when payouts, convertible or reversionary interests, or subsequent operations occur
Interface with Landman to manage and maintain unit decks and unit amendments
Review and manage suspense and escheat items
Assist in the build-out of the Division Order team
Skills and Competencies
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Familiarity with databases and their functionality
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills to maintain both digital and hard copy files
Ability to multitask on several different projects while being able to prioritize and meet deadlines
Proficiency with Accounting Software (e.g., My Quorum Accounting preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
15+ years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
