About this role

Sanctuary Treatment Center is currently looking for full and part time LVNs for 8 hour shifts at our detox and residential facility!

The LVN is responsible for providing a variety of nursing services that focus on prevention,  education, and treatment of the physical and mental health of clients. The LVN works collaboratively as a member of the treatment team to develop and implement effective treatment strategies.

Availability, we are currently looking for:

  • 7am-3:30pm and 3pm-11:30pm

        **Must be available at least one weekend day 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with client self-administration of medication and records/monitors vital signs.
  • Conducts initial intake assessments and evaluations, including detox protocols.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of medication and lab orders
  • Observes and reports changes in client conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and takes any necessary action
  • Responsible for the management and organization of medication room, including supply inventory and equipment compliance.
  • Evaluates medical concerns and directs clients to emergency medical care when required.
  • Works with the treatment team and physicians to assess client needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.
  • Reviews medication logs, conducts medication counts and requests refills as needed.
  • Provides support, monitoring and supervision of clients to assist non-clinical staff.
  • Performs breathalyzer analysis and monitors urine test samples from client. 

Qualifications:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • LVN licensure required. Possession of a valid license/certificate of registration issued by the California Board of Nursing Education and Nurse registration is required.
  • Experience working in a detox/substance use treatment facility preferred.
  • Experience working with clients that have co-occurring mental health diagnoses preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  1. Hiring is contingent upon completion of a TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical. Clean driving record and current first aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.
