About this role

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with 5+ years of experience to own and strengthen the core document processing platform at Reducto. You'll be someone who has seen what mature systems look like at scale – ideally at companies like Stripe, Ramp, or Robinhood – and is ready to bring that expertise to a fast-growing AI startup. This role is about making the nuts and bolts work beautifully: ensuring customer jobs run fast and reliably, optimizing how models are served, and driving cost efficiency across distributed systems. You'll work closely with ML engineers and take on-call responsibility as part of a small, high-impact platform team.

What you will be doing

Owning and improving the core platform that runs customer document processing jobs – ensuring speed, reliability, and cost efficiency at scale

Working with ML teams to figure out how to serve in-house models efficiently and integrate them into production pipelines

Building and maintaining infrastructure including databases, task orchestration, workload scheduling, and cloud deployments

Driving improvements to distributed systems – tackling latency, reliability, and scaling challenges as volume grows

Participating in on-call rotations and taking ownership of platform health end-to-end
