Qatar Airways is recruiting for the role of Finance Officer-ERP Systems based at our Global Business Services (GBS) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India).
The position will be responsible in overseeing ERP systems, troubleshooting support, interacting with ERP users, handling user community of over 700+ finance professional across Qatar Airways Group & its subsidiaries. The officer have to act as primary point of contact for all finance related matters pertaining to Oracle ERP systems. The Officer will also be actively involved in gathering and analyzing finance requirements, coordinating with the IT department, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and providing valuable feedback to our internal customers.
Responsibilities:
Provide functional support for Oracle Fusion Financials, coordinate with 700+ users and ensure timely resolution of incidents, service requests and production issues within SLA ensuring stable system operations and high user satisfaction.
Analyze recurring issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions to improve system reliability, reduce ticket volumes, and enhance the user experience.
Support end-to-end AP to GL close activities by monitoring critical transactions, resolving accounting exceptions, and coordinating with Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial close.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify process bottlenecks and drive corrective actions, improving close cycle efficiency and adherence to reporting timelines.
Manage and support the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including supplier onboarding, invoice processing, approvals, payments, and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with company policies and operational requirements.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase processing efficiency, payment accuracy, and supplier satisfaction.
Resolve complex AP transactions such as withholding tax, invoice holds, matching exceptions, and payment discrepancies to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
Maintain and support invoice and payment approval workflows by aligning approval hierarchies with business policies and internal controls, ensuring compliant transaction processing.
Review and optimize workflow configurations to eliminate approval delays and improve process efficiency.
Govern supplier onboarding, supplier master maintenance, and banking detail validation through established control procedures, ensuring high-quality vendor data and compliance with governance standards
Partner with procurement, finance, and vendors to resolve supplier-related issues and maintain effective supplier relationships.
Lead functional activities for system enhancements, Oracle quarterly releases, and transformation initiatives by gathering requirements, evaluating solutions, and coordinating implementation, ensuring business needs are met effectively.
Recommend Oracle best practices and standard functionality to improve process efficiency, system utilization, and control compliance.
Plan, coordinate, and execute SIT and UAT activities for system enhancements and fixes by working closely with business and technical teams, ensuring solutions meet functional requirements.
Validate business scenarios prior to deployment and support production releases to minimize operational risks and business disruption
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, control evidence, and process explanations, ensuring audit requirements are addressed effectively.
Monitor finance processes against company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards, identifying and mitigating compliance risks
Serve as the primary point of contact between Finance, IT, Oracle Support, banking partners, and external vendors to facilitate issue resolution and successful project delivery.Deliver training, demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs to business users, promoting effective adoption and utilization of Oracle Fusion capabilities.
Identify automation opportunities and process improvement initiatives through analysis of operational challenges and user feedback, driving greater efficiency and control.
Support Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion migration and finance transformation programs, ensuring successful adoption of new processes and technologies
Review user access level as and when required.

High School / Diploma or Equivalent with minimum 4 years of job-related experience or Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 3 years of job-related experience
Preferring candidates having experience in both Oracle ERP R12 and Oracle fusion cloud Financial applications (AP, AR, GL, CM, FA)
Oracle Certification in GL, AP, AR, CM, FA.
Job Specific skillss

User level knowledge & experience of Oracle ERP & Fusion Cloud Financials.s
Excellent computer skills, including MS- Offices
