Project Manager

Role Profile

The Project Manager is a leadership role responsible for planning, executing, and delivering new products into the business on time, within scope, and within budget. Serving as the NPI Engineering Team Leader, this role ensures alignment with customer requirements, commitment dates, and internal quality processes while coordinating cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will design and implement manufacturing methods to improve efficiency during the product development phase and oversee the seamless transition into full-scale production.


NPI & Project Management

  • Manage new product introduction (NPI) projects, including the preparation of comprehensive project launch plans, milestones, and master production schedules.
  • Create and manage required Bills of Material (BOM) and manufacturing process flows in support of assigned products.
  • Ensure all phases of the product development process are completed, and necessary stage-gate approvals are secured for assigned products.
  • Manage, maintain, and adhere to project plans through to final handover to production.

Engineering Leadership & Technical Support

  • Lead and mentor teams in the creation and design of process planning, tooling, and manufacturing routines.
  • Provide engineering assistance and guidance in manufacturing techniques and equipment operation steps.
  • Review and approve tool requests, associated designs, and inspection methods for existing and new tooling.
  • Create, manage, and maintain process planning instruction sheets, routings, and rework instructions alongside the Operational Engineering team.
  • Oversee the specification and purchase of capital equipment during new product development.

Quality, Compliance, & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and respond to critical dimension metrics identified internally and by customers.
  • Improve process performance through continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities and actively participate in a positive EHS culture, recommending safety and ergonomic improvements.

Qualifications & Person Specification

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background working as a Project Manager or NPI Lead.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Project, and standard MS Office packages.
  • Working knowledge of standard manufacturing processes, shop mathematics, and inspection methods.
