About this role
Pro-Tek Field Services is seeking experienced Journeyman Linemen to join our electrical team supporting oil & gas operations throughout the Permian Basin. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground electrical power systems while working safely in field environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical power lines
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on electrical distribution systems
- Operate and work from bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other utility equipment
- Climb poles and work at heights when required
- Inspect electrical systems and power lines to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Respond to power outages and service interruptions
- Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with crews to complete projects safely and efficiently
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles used for line work
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a recognized lineman apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass physical fitness and climbing requirements
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety standards, and OSHA regulations
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with both overhead and underground electrical systems
- Experience operating bucket trucks and digger derricks
- Previous experience in utility, electrical construction, or oil & gas environments
- CDL preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Arc flash training preferred
- Valid CDL
Work Environment
- Outdoor field work in various weather conditions
- May require travel to job sites throughout the Permian Basin
- Overtime and extended hours may be required during outages or project deadlines
