About this role
Portcast is a venture-backed, Singapore-based logistics technology company building AI-powered intelligence for the freight forwarding industry. Freight forwarders manage thousands of shipments, rates, exceptions, and operational decisions every day. The challenge is not a lack of data. It is knowing what needs attention, what is going wrong, and what action to take next.
Portcast uses AI and data to help freight forwarders surface shipment exceptions, identify cost and margin risks, and make better decisions across the shipment lifecycle. Our products help teams improve operational efficiency, protect margins, and make faster, more informed decisions. Our vision is to become the AI data and intelligence layer that powers exception management and margin improvement on every shipment.
Founded in 2018 and backed by leading technology investors, we are a lean, globally distributed team building technology for an industry going through a major digital transformation.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Marketing Designer to be the design engine behind our marketing. You'll turn briefs and copy into polished, on-brand assets across the full funnel, landing pages, case studies, social and paid creative, event materials, product collateral, and video, often at speed and across several formats at once. You'll partner closely with content and growth marketing (copy and content sit with the Content Marketing Manager; the visual craft is yours) to keep a consistent visual system across everything we publish, and raise the bar on how the Portcast brand shows up.
-
A consistent, high-quality visual system across everything Portcast publishes, with assets shipped quickly and on-brand across web, print, social, paid, and video, so marketing can move fast without design becoming a bottleneck or losing craft.
- Design landing pages, case study PDFs, product one-pagers, and sales/product collateral.
- Produce social creative (LinkedIn-first), including post series and campaign templates.
- Build paid media and creative for LinkedIn and Google campaigns across personas.
- Create event and webinar assets: banners, booth graphics, decks.
- Produce and edit video content end to end, short-form social clips, product feature videos, webinar/event recaps, and launch teasers, from raw footage to polished, on-brand output.
- Maintain and extend the Portcast brand system: components, tokens, templates.
- Support HTML email/newsletter production and light web design handoff.
- Iterate quickly across multiple design and content review rounds.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent.
- At least 3+ years in a design role, ideally in-house at a B2B SaaS product-based startup or at an agency doing B2B marketing, with a portfolio that shows real range across web, print, social, campaign, and video work.
- Fast, high-craft execution: You produce polished work quickly, often across several formats at once, without letting speed erode quality. You take direction and iterate well, but you hold your own opinions on what "good" looks like.
- Detail-obsessed: Pixel alignment, spacing, and consistency matter to you. You catch the small things others miss and hold the visual bar across everything that ships.
- Figma (advanced): You work fluently with components, variants, auto-layout, and shared libraries, and you keep the design system clean and reusable.
- Adobe Creative Suite: Strong in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, including multi-page, print-ready layouts for case studies and collateral.
- Design fundamentals: A strong grasp of typography, layout, grid systems, and brand consistency, and the ability to design for web and print formats interchangeably.
- Creative at scale: You're comfortable designing social and paid ad creative at volume from templates, keeping everything on-brand across personas and campaigns.
- Video editing and production: You can take a project from raw footage to finished, high-quality output, cutting, pacing, color, captions/subtitles, motion titles, and sound. You're fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or equivalent DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut), and CapCut or similar for fast short-form social edits.
- Web and email handoff: A basic understanding of HTML/CSS, enough to work within existing markup for email and web handoff, not necessarily coding from scratch.
- Brand systems: Working knowledge of brand systems and design tokens, and how to keep every asset on-system as the brand scales.
- Advanced motion design: animation and motion work (Lottie, complex After Effects, 3D/Blender).
- Presentation design: high-polish decks in PowerPoint or Google Slides.
- AI design tooling: familiarity with image generation, AI-assisted layout, prompt-based workflows, and AI video.
- Webflow basics: building or maintaining pages in Webflow, not just designing them.
- Curiosity for the logistics domain: Experiencein logistics, supply chain, transportation, or freight technology is valued, but so is a genuine curiosity to understand our market in depth.
- AI-forward mindset: You consistently apply AI across design workflows and actively experiment with new tools as they emerge.
- Startup builder mentality: You thrive in lean, fast-moving environments where ownership is high and resources are limited.
- Strong communicator: You communicate clearly across a diverse, distributed, cross-cultural team. You can be opinionated, but you engage with other views and compromise when it's right.
-
Own the visual craft end to end: You'll own how Portcast looks and feels across everything we publish, with real influence over the brand and few layers between an idea and what ships.
-
Build in an industry still defining modern B2B marketing: Logistics and supply chain tech is at an exciting stage of digital transformation, with significant room to rethink how enterprise software is marketed and how it looks. You'll bring fresh ideas, challenge conventional thinking, and help shape what great design looks like in this space.
-
Work at the intersection of AI, design, and logistics: We have a strong product, established enterprise customers, and a real opportunity to sharpen how we show up. You'll get to push AI-forward design and video workflows, not just execute templates.
-
Small by design, fully distributed across Asia and Europe, built on trust, accountability, and collaboration. Your work directly shapes launches, customer perception, and how the market sees Portcast.
-
Curiosity: We dig into why a design worked or didn't, how a freight forwarder actually operates, and what makes our brand land with customers.
-
Ownership: We act like founders. We don't wait to be told what to make, and we stay on a piece until it's genuinely on-brand and right.
-
Raising the bar: We don't settle for assets that are merely fine. We hold a high standard for craft, polish, and the experience our brand creates.
-
Effectiveness: We focus on design that drives real marketing outcomes, pipeline, launches, and brand perception, not just output. We prioritize the right work and make practical trade-offs.
Join us at Portcast and help shape the future of the logistics and shipping industry through design that is as sharp as the product behind it.
