DIRECTOR, VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Salary Pay Rate: $62,353.20

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm

The Director, Volunteer Program is responsible for the agency’s volunteer program. This role cultivates relationships to create meaningful volunteer opportunities. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Build and maintain relationships with internal agency programs, educational institutions such as high schools, colleges—and corporations, area businesses, and community partners to identify and promote volunteer opportunities. 
• Partners and collaborates with agency leaders to align volunteer activities with community outreach, advocacy, and program needs. 
• Work directly with agency programs to coordinate volunteer assignments, ensure appropriate placement, and provide on-site support as needed. 
• Partner with the Director, Talent Acquisition to facilitate required volunteer onboarding processes.  
• Develop and maintain processes that support effective recruitment, placement, communication, regulatory compliance and retention of volunteers. 
• Monitor volunteer engagement and provide recommendations to improve and strengthen program effectiveness. 
• Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, community partners, and  stakeholders. 
• Comply with all agency policies and procedures. 
• All other duties as assigned. 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business Management or related. 
• 3-5 years of experience in volunteer management, community relations or related field.  
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, communication and organizational skills. 
• Valid driver’s license. 

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
