Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain equipment with a strong commitment to customer support and quality workmanship
- Use diagnostic tools, software, and technology to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and complete complex repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service according to manufacturer specifications
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining clear service documentation
- Maintain current knowledge of John Deere agriculture products and other equipment supported by the dealership
- Participate in manufacturer, dealer-led, and technical training programs to further develop skills and technical capabilities
- Work closely with Service, Parts, and other technicians to support customers and complete work effectively
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience performing agricultural equipment, automotive, heavy equipment, powersports, construction, or related complex mechanical repairs
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and powertrain components
- Ability to use diagnostic software, electronic service tools, and basic computer functions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute within a team environment
- Commitment to professional development and ongoing technical training
- Experience with John Deere and competitive products is a definite asset
- Candidates ideally will possess a Journeyperson Agricultural Technician certification or equivalent in a mechanical field (i.e. Heavy Equipment, Automotive)
