About this role

What we're looking for:

We need someone with 5+ years of experience growing a consumer, membership, or lifestyle brand through community, partnerships, and word of mouth who has built referral, ambassador, or scouting programs from scratch. You should be comfortable hitting the pavement and doing grassroots, door-knocking work while also setting creative direction and strategy independently. Bonus points if you're known among your friends as a natural connector or matchmaker.

What you'll do:

Design and run a scouting program — recruiting and managing a small team of scouts across different NYC communities to identify and bring in sought-after singles for Overtone's founding community.

Build relationships with communities, clubs, hosts, and venues that connect the people we're looking for, and develop partnerships and shared events to drive early growth.

Set the bar for the intentional daters we want to bring in, doing personal, direct outreach to build a diverse pool of exceptional people.

Own the community acquisition playbook for New York City, with the goal of building a repeatable model we can scale city-by-city as we grow.

Partner with the Membership Manager to ensure all new members have a seamless, premium onboarding experience.

Identify and activate micro-influencers, hosts, and connectors across NYC's social scenes — from founders and operators to arts, food, music, and members' clubs.
