Your Impact
As a Principal Cloud Systems Engineer within OpenText's Directory Services team, you will play a key role in delivering, supporting, and evolving large-scale directory and identity platforms that underpin critical business operations globally. You will provide technical leadership in the design, implementation, and optimization of Active Directory, DNS, identity management, and cloud infrastructure services, while driving operational excellence, automation, and best practices. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help solve complex technical challenges, influence infrastructure strategy, and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of enterprise services.
What the Role Offers
- Lead the design, implementation, support, and optimization of enterprise-scale Active Directory, DNS, identity management, and cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Drive automation initiatives using technologies such as PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible to improve operational efficiency and service reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex infrastructure challenges, serving as an escalation point for the wider engineering team.
- Collaborate with global teams to deliver domain migrations, platform upgrades, cloud integrations, and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Influence best practices across systems administration, patch management, monitoring, security, and operational documentation.
- Work with a diverse range of technologies, including Windows Server, Linux, VMware, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, OKTA, Infoblox, and Zabbix.
What You Need to Succeed
- 7+ years of experience in a technology-driven enterprise environment with expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and related infrastructure services.
- Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise DNS, identity management, cloud infrastructure, and directory services environments.
- Proficiency with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools, including PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Solid understanding of virtualization, public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), networking concepts, and infrastructure security best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects, communicate technical concepts effectively, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Linux administration, monitoring platforms, patch management, operational documentation, and participation in on-call support rotations.
