About this role
The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate financial accounting, reporting, and compliance activities across the organization. The role manages key accounting processes including inventory valuation, accruals and provisions, asset accounting, tax reporting, lease accounting, and payment operations.
Responsibilities
- Valuation of inventories for Actual and Forecast;
- Determine and post monthly accruals and provisions responsibly;
- Data transformation of the SAP balance sheet and reporting of the SAP balance sheet data in BW LUCANET for Actual, Forecast and Planning;
- GTC tool: Determination and reporting of GTC data (Current Taxes and Deferred Taxes) for Actual, Forecast and Planning;
- G/L account creation and revision of balance sheet and P&L SAP structures;
- Responsible management of asset accounting in SAP AM and preparation, monitoring and completion of the asset inventory;
- Lease manager for the company (contract portfolio maintenance, transfer of journals from the IFRS16.easy tool);
- Compute customer specific credit limits;
- Review and manage solvency checks with rating agencies;
- Manage manual payments and generate payment files for online banking.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting/ Economic Sciences).
- 5+ years accounting experience required - gained in multinational companies would be a plus;
- German & English – Conversational level (written and spoken);
- Previous working experience in SAP R3 would be a plus;
- Previous working with Microsoft Excel is mandatory;
- Ability to work with figures and large amounts of data;
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
