Job Description – Junior Draughtswoman

Job Purpose

To support the Technical Department in preparing accurate interior fit-out shop drawings and related technical documentation under the guidance of senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare interior fit-out drawings, including plans, elevations, sections and details. 
• Assist in developing shop drawings based on design and IFC drawings. 
• Revise drawings according to consultant, client and site comments. 
• Assist with architectural, joinery and MEP coordination. 
• Prepare as-built drawings based on approved site information. 
• Maintain proper drawing revisions, records and file documentation. 
• Ensure drawings comply with project requirements and company standards. 
• Coordinate with senior draftsmen, designers, engineers and site teams. 
• Complete assigned drafting work within the required timelines. 

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related field. 
• Fresh graduate or up to one year of relevant experience. 
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. 
• Basic understanding of interior fit-out drawings and construction details. 
• Knowledge of SketchUp or Revit is an advantage. 
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn. 
• Good communication, teamwork and time-management skills. 
• Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of senior team members.

 

Responsibilities

• To prepare shop drawing. 
• To refer and understand the scope of work of the projects. 
• Regular updation of drawing register. 
• Updation of drawings. 
• To carry out the main drawing based on the specification by the Manager- Projects. 
• Review the site details with Engineers/Managers-Projects/Architect. 
• To provide related projects details to sales department based on the customer supplied drawings/details measured from the site. 
• To send drawings to the client for approval. 
• Plan and issue the drawing as per requirement of Architect. 
• Record all the drawings distribution in drawing control register.
