About this role

As a Assistant - Finance & Accounts, you will be an integral part of our Finance & Accounts team, supporting the financial operations of Leminar Global. This role is perfect for an ambitious individual seeking to develop their accounting skills and contribute to a dynamic organization. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and Senior Accountants, gaining exposure to various financial processes and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, maintaining organized records and ensuring timely payments.
  • Support the monthly closing process, preparing financial statements and analyzing variances.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing financial data and insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and provide financial information as required.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in ad-hoc financial projects, such as cost-benefit analyses and special audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security protocols at all times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for financial modeling and analysis.
  • Attention to detail with excellent analytical skills for accurate financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting software and systems.
  • Knowledge of accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
